Consesus Lake Ring Of Fire

Every Fourth of July (well, actually, the day before, on July 3rd), the residents who live and vacation along Conesus Lake get together to hold a fireworks event called the Ring Of Fire.  The lake is long and narrow (8 miles long, and maybe 1/2 mile wide), and all along the lake shore, on both sides, fireworks are launched at various points at various times.  At any point during the show, you can look in front of you, or up and down the lake, and see fireworks going off in all directions.  At the end, flares (according to Wikipedia, around 10,000 flares) are lit along the entire lake shore, which makes the lake become literally surrounded by a ring of fire.

These pictures really don't do this event justice - enjoy, and Happy Independence Day!
